The Roundhouse Community Partnership was formed in 1991 to
represent the communities of Athersley North, Athersley South,
Smithies and New Lodge. The organisation currently employs 28
members of staff delivering a wide range of projects and initiatives
within the community.
The good thing about working with SR
Networks is that they only give you what you wantMark
Ennis knew of SR Networks from working with them in another
community partnership and when he moved to Roundhouse was quick
to bring in their services.
“When I arrived at Roundhouse I found that we had an
IT system that was only being used to 25% of its capacity. We
had no sharing of information, no networking and no one knew
how to fully exploit the system.
“Although I have some basic IT knowledge we needed more
technical competence which we always struggle to find in our
sector. SR Networks provided us with a shared network and our
own server to back up information on,” says Mark Ennis
Mark is very clear as to the benefit Roundhouse has obtained
from bringing in professional services in saying; “We
are no far more effective in all areas and the server was a
life saver when two PCs crashed; if that had happened before
we would have lost all our information which would have been
a disaster; the good thing about working with SR Networks is
that they only give you what you want rather than selling you
an expensive system you don’t need.”
